Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) is one of Reno’s premier destinations for live entertainment, bringing an exciting lineup of concerts and performances to Northern Nevada throughout the year. From nationally touring musicians and legendary performers to rising artists and comedy acts, GSR offers a diverse calendar of events spanning rock, country, pop, hip-hop, alternative music, and more. Its Grand Theatre provides an intimate concert experience while still attracting major names from across the entertainment industry.
Beyond the performance itself, concerts at GSR can easily become a full night out. Guests can enjoy dining, drinks, gaming, and other entertainment throughout the resort before or after a show, all without leaving the property. With a continually changing schedule of artists and events, GSR remains a popular destination for Reno locals and visitors looking to catch live music and entertainment in the heart of Northern Nevada.
The experience begins well before sunrise with the Super Glow Show, when illuminated balloons glow against the dark morning sky, followed by the famous Dawn Patrol and the spectacular Mass Ascension. Families, photographers, visitors, and longtime locals gather on the grass to watch the balloons lift off as the sun rises over Reno. The 2026 Great Reno Balloon Race takes place September 10–13 and remains free for spectators, continuing a community tradition that has been part of Reno for more than four decades.
